Actual haunted places near you!

actual-haunted-places-near-you

Here is an interesting website that I ran into regarding actual haunted places in Michigan. The list is in Alphabetical order of town or city and features a brief description of the haunting. Please note that some of the places on this list are ridiculous and pointless. Have fun ghost hunting!

Dog days of Halloween

dog-days-of-halloween

Dog lovers and Halloween pretty much result in the following gallery. Don’t worry “cat’s” we didn’t forget about you, you’ll get your turn soon enough. Did you decorate your little animal of the house like it actually knows what Halloween is and most likely emotionally scarred the poor thing? Then send us some pics and we’ll make the little sucker internet famous!

When haunted houses just don’t cut it!

Make sure to bring a camera!
Make sure to bring a camera for pic’s like this one!

Want to try something different than going to a haunted house for Halloween? Well maybe you should try Urban Exploring, but what is it you ask? Urban Exploring is the exploration of abandoned hospitals, factories, psychiatric wards, and other large and old buildings. I’m sure many of you have done a little exploring of your own when you were younger “part of being a teenager”. Be warned though it’s not a very safe recreational activity and many times’s illegal. There is that question though of were to find that really scary old loony hospital where all those people mysteriously disappeared, I can help with that. ;)

Opacity is a world wide database filled with some really twisted places to check out, they also have a image and history database filled with crazy amounts of information about each place out there. Check it out by (Clicking Here).

For those in Michigan “where we are based in” there is Forgotten Michigan that is also filled with well documented creepy places to find nightmares at, check it out by (Clicking Here) Also if you just want to find haunted places in just about any area in Michigan check out the (Haunted Places in Michigan Database) you can even submit a location that isn’t in there.

Just remember that though this sounds fun and exciting, it may be dangerous so make sure to bring plenty of fire power, salt to ward off ghosts and a lucky candle from a senior citizens bingo night (you just might need it)!

the-5-best-and-biggest-haunted-houses-in-michigan

If your going to go to a haunted house this month the selection is pretty staggering, there is just too many to choose from. Well I made your life a little easier by finding the 5 very best, most high budget, biggest haunted houses in Michigan (really not kidding). Some of these are 5 story mazes; some have over 50 professional actors while even one claims to be in the Guinness book of world records. If anyone goes to one of the five shoot me an email explaining how it was and if indeed it was “the scariest time ever” and I will include your experience in a future article. I wonder if any of them have any ventriloquist dolls, that’s my weakness you know “I know those little bastards pop to life when people go to sleep”. Anyway have fun and try not to wet yourself or fail to come back home due to a disturbed haunted house worker that actually enjoys his job a little too much!

Four Stories (3 up 1 down), 30,000sqare feet and over 50 actors. Things will grab you, bite you, and land on top of you, then we’ll bury you alive!

October, Halloween “Hell Yes”!

october-halloween-%e2%80%9chell-yes%e2%80%9d

I’m sure you can tell from the subject of this article and our new hallofest header that I really like me some October/Halloween. Don’t get me wrong, paying for tab’s on my car and having to turn my heat on for the first time this year is a big BOO but I always look past that “cat poop” for the good stuff. That sweet good stuff is B-Day time for yours truly and the crazy parties this month that gives us the chance to show off our well picked and sometimes overdone Halloween costumes.

I’m very excited for the cool, funny, informative and creative plans I have for articles this month. Some sweet treats and sugar coated poison pill’s I have in store include:

  • Adult alternative to haunted houses, you’re really going to like this but I can’t spill too many beans and ruin the surprise.
  •  Haunted places in Michigan, local and abroad.
  •  How to make some sweet crafty costumes on the “low”.
  •  Horror movie reviews and scary game reviews.
  •  Anything horror, scary, disturbing or other that I deem worthy of your time.

I’m also going to attempt to make a local haunted house index “local as in tri-city area”. There will be many more craftastic surprises in store so do yourself a favor and make sure to check back with us often throughout the entire month of October! As always I will do my best to deserve your attention.

Creepy Nightmare Playgrounds to lose sleep over!

creepy-nightmare-playgrounds-to-lose-sleep-over

Due to the spooky holiday month quickly approaching I decided to jumpstart the Halloween spirit by bringing to light this creepy collection of nightmare themed playground props I came across.

What’s really disturbing is the fact that most of these creations “but not all” aren’t meant to be creepy. I guess the term “third world country” comes to mind when I look at some of these demented creations.

I'm sorry, am I suppose to play on this thing?

Am I suppose to play on this thing?

The image on the right is actualy pretty cool but wait to you see the Mosquito Slide, now this is a true “good time noodle salad” Pun intended.

You can find the complete collection in all its spooktacular glory here but be warned this stuff is plain out wacky!
